NADINE GEDDES
Partner
Nadine Geddes is a Partner at Scale Strategics and supports companies with a range of organizational and compliance activities including, office management, Health and Safety, Board of Directors activities, ISO and IFRS controls, grant applications and budgeting.
​
Before starting Scale Strategics, Nadine was a co-founder of Meta Materials Inc. (META®) where she oversaw operations, human resources and administration. This provided her with over 15 years of experience in supporting the growth of 10 companies over 4 countries by implementing actionable strategies, building cross-functional teams, enhancing operational efficiencies, and managing company resources. Her passion for data driven analysis and stakeholder engagement are vital to building successful short and long-term strategies because they have buy-in from those involved.

Nadine holds a PhD in Ergonomics from Loughborough University in the UK and did a post-doc at King’s College in London where she managed a 3 year project for Parkinson’s UK. Her extensive background in mixed-methods research has equipped her with the essential skills needed to work with technology-oriented companies.

Nadine lives in Halifax with her family and enjoys travelling with them whenever possible. She also enjoys hiking, kayaking and cooking when she’s not busy with after-school activities.

Joey Shee is a Partner at Scale Strategics where she helps small businesses implement and manage their HR processes from start to finish, including strategic planning to ensure sustainable growth and staff retention.
Before co-founding the company, she spent over 14 years of dedicated service in education, including eight years in leadership. Joey has transitioned seamlessly into a dynamic career in Human Resources, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a passion for fostering growth and development.

Driven by a desire to make a broader impact on organizational development and employee well-being, she leverages her expertise in communication and interpersonal dynamics to support teams and enhance workplace culture. With a keen understanding of the importance of effective leadership and talent management, she is dedicated to creating inclusive workplaces where every individual can thrive and contribute their unique talents.

Committed to ongoing personal and professional development, Joey holds a certificate in Managing Human Resources from Saint Mary’s University and actively participates in industry conferences and workshops. She is passionate about staying abreast of emerging trends and best practices in Human Resources, ensuring she brings fresh insights and innovative solutions to her work.

Joey currently resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia, having moved from the UK. She is an avid world traveler and in her personal time she enjoys seeking out new adventures and discovering different cultures. Joey is a frequent gym-goer and occasionally enjoys trying new restaurants, as she explores her new home.
